Erick Omondi

Founder/CEO

It is easy to assume that Erick Omondi was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Nothing could be further from the truth. He was born into a poor family comprising of seven children. Growing up in the slum of Kibera was not a walk in the park. His father died when he was still young.

After the death of his father, Erick became a street boy and struggled to survive on his own. In the streets, he was disturbed to see the lives of many adolescent girls crushed and go to waste which inspired him to action. He desired to change in a practical way the plight of adolescent girls in the society especially for those from disadvantaged families. In 2009 after having found a home for himself in an orphanage, he founded Generation Guiders, a community based organization run by community members to empower adolescent girls.
